Heirloom Portraits
By Roger W. Bishop
About the ArtistSeveral years before retirement from an engineering/sales career Roger began to revive a long lost first love of art. He chose pyrography (wood burning) because of its uniqueness in two dimensional art, the natural warmth of wood, and its historic antiquity (second only to pottery). Having now spent some 6,000 hours on this art form, he has received local, national, and international recognition of his work. He resides in Arkansas with his wife Nancy. They are the parents of two and the grandparents of four. He looks forward to receiving the challenge of creating a wonderful piece for you.
